UK-China workshop on singular spectrum analysis and its applications

Welcome to the 2010 UK-China workshop on the singular spectrum analysis (shortly, SSA) and its applications. The workshop is going to be held in Cardiff on September 20-22, 2010. This workshop follows the series of workshops on SSA; the last two have been hosted by Cardiff University in August 2008 and in December 2009.

A growing number of new developments in the theory and methodology of SSA and new exciting applications of SSA will be discussed at the workshop. The workshop will hopefully be a major step in the establishment of a long-term research collaboration between China and the UK in the area of time series analysis. However, the preliminary list of participants does not only include researches from the UK and China; a number of scientists from Russia, Greece, Portugal, Switzerland, USA, Australia and Austria have already expressed the intention to take part in the workshop.

The organizers are going to arrange the publication of selected papers presented in the workshop in a special issue of a reputable statistical journal (several journals are currently being considered).
